Unwritten Etiquette Rules Every Home Buyer Should Know ( What You Want To Know Wednesdays )

Our friends at Realtor.com have brought us a list of rules every homebuyer should follow while viewing homes. Sellers make the ultimate decision of who gets their home – they’re more likely to sell to a person who leaves a positive impression on them.

Get pre-approved for a home loan – Knowing exactly how much home you can afford before shopping for a home is key.

Be punctual – Respect everyone’s time as you’d want them to respect yours.

Remove your shoes - When in doubt ask if you should remove your shoes when you enter anyone’s home.

Ask permission before taking photos – There may be concerns about privacy that you’re not aware of. Always heed on the side of caution.

Don’t linger too long – Anything from 15 – 30 minutes is typical for a first showing.

Avoid excessive multiple visits – One, two, maybe three visits are typically acceptable prior to making an offer. If you have to make more trips, it may not be the home for you.
